National Costume Swap Day™


Febreze Partners with MK to Participate in National Costume Swap Day™ Events Across the Country

Throughout October, Febreze has partnered with Macaroni Kid to participate in National Costume Swap Day™ events and Macaroni Kid Cleveland East will be at one, too!

Where: Cooperative Nursery School at Heights Christian Church (back entrance), 17300 Van Aken Boulevard

When: Saturday, October 8, 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

How: This event is open to the public, and the rules are simple. Bring your clean, complete children’s Halloween Costumes, and exchange them for "new" ones at no charge.

At Whole Foods Market Cedar Center

With school back in session, what are your plans for the little ones?

The first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m., Macaroni Kid Cleveland East is teaming up with Whole Foods at Cedar Center for a play date!

Last month's event was a huge success! With a lovely space for children to play, come and visit with other parents and enjoy a snack and a beverage, courtesy of Whole Foods. There will also be snacks for the kids: Three Sisters cereals and juice or a yogurt drink ...


World Festival Day at the Rock Hall


Win a family 4-pack of tickets to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum!

This fall season the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is pleased to once again host the World Festival, an annual event that celebrates ethnic diversity in greater Cleveland. The World Festival will take place in the Rock Hall’s Main Lobby on Sunday, October 9 from Noon to 4 p.m.

The event is FREE, however paid admission is necessary to tour the Rock Hall's exhibits. (That's why we are giving away tickets! See below!)

Friday, September 30 - Third Annual Outdoor Movie Night at Lomond Field "How to Train Your Dragon"

Bring your lawn chair or blanket and join your neighbors to enjoy a crisp fall evening watching “How to Train Your Dragon” projected onto the backstop of the softball field.   In this story, a hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed. With 2 Oscar nominations, this is a movie you and your family won’t want to miss!  (Rain date Saturday, October 1, 2011)

Saturday, October 1 through Sunday, October 16 - Swifty's Balloon Farm: Life-size Balloon Sculpture Exhibit

Swifty’s Balloon Farm, Ohio’s largest indoor balloon art sculpture exhibit, returns for a third year. This year's theme is Farming in the Early 1800s. Featured will be a covered wagon pulled by horses, pioneers, Native Americans, a wigwam, and more.  The exhibit, the brainchild of the popular Swifty the Clown, is a life-size farm-themed walk-through display made up of only – you got it – balloons! Assembly of this display, made up of more than 20,000 balloons by Master Balloon Artists, takes 220 man-hours.

My Little Pony

When evaluating an app for kids, I look for two elements; first, can my child use the app by themselves, and second, is there a fun way my child and I can play with the app together. My Little Pony: Twilight Sparkle, Teacher for a Day from Ruckus Media and Hasbro gets a big “yes” on both counts.
