My 3-year-old loves horses. She will try to tell you she loves all animals but it always comes back to horses. "Because they are my favorite," she says.
So when a popular deals site was offering private horseback riding lessons, I jumped on the chance to get one! My only regret, not getting two.
The people are Summer Wind Stables in Chesterland were kind, professional and very patient with my now almost-4-year-old who had been on pony rides at the state fair. (This was not a pony ride.)
We had such a wonderful experience that I want to give one of YOU your own one-hour private lesson! It could be for you, a friend, family member or your little one. They work with kids as young at 3.
The one-hour long lesson includes getting fitted for a helmet and picking up the reigns and grooming the horse and helping to put on the saddle. My daughter got to walk the horse to the ring and had 30-minutes of learning to get on the horse, going over poles, using the reigns to make the horse turn and to stop... it was wonderful and we can't wait to go back!
