Review: Cuisinart Rotisserie Convection Toaster Oven

By Jenny Steadman November 18, 2014
A Cuisinart Rotisserie Convection Toaster Oven was provided to me for this reply. Opinions are purely my own.

I am not one to splurge on appliance. Sure, I like them to look nice and work well but I don't tend to get the bells and whistles. I often look at the most simplistic model and choose one up for our home. I wouldn't normally think to look at a toaster oven big enough or smart enough to cook a rotisserie chicken. Today, moms and dads, is the day I tell you that everything has changed.

I cook a whole chicken every few weeks, often in the crock pot but sometimes in the oven. When I was asked if I wanted to try a Cuisinart Rotisserie Convection Toaster Oven for review, it was a no-brainer to say yes! We love rotisserie chicken but have never been able to cook them in our home.

The box arrived and I was overwhelmed. It's so much bigger than our other toaster oven and there are so many more settings. After reading the simple set up instructions, though, I was ready to go. It first perfectly on the counter, too! I thawed a frozen chicken and a few nights later, the big test came. How well would this rotisserie system work? The answer is: EASILY.

It was easy to set the bird up and get it cooking. It was easy to get out once done cooking and, most importantly, it was delicious! And it doesn't stop at chickens! You can use it for duck, fish, pork loin, whole pineapple (yes!) and so much more. Bake a 12" pizza or toast six slices of bread. With rotisserie, convection, toast and broil settings, the possibilites are endless. I should also mention that the nonstick interior and front pull-out crumb tray make it easy to clean after each use.

Since cooking the chicken, we have used the toaster for the usual items: toast, bagels, heating up leftovers and cooking frozen veggie burgers (a regular occurance in our house). With Thanksgiving coming up, I realize that I now have an extra oven to cook side dishes in! I had no idea how handy an extra oven would be! An 8x8 pan fits inside very easily.

If you are in the market for a new toaster oven, love rotisserie, could use an extra oven or it just simply sounds like fun, I highly recommend the Cuisinart Rotisserie Convection Toaster Oven to you!
