144th Annual Cleveland Saint Patrick's Day Parade

March 17, 2011

Keeping the Memories Alive

The Patriot Flag is touring the United States in honor of the fallen on September 11, 2001. It also honors the public safety personnel on the job today willing to risk their lives for others. After a yearlong tour the Flag will then be flown in NYC, Washington D.C. and Shanksville, PA on September 11, 2011 for the ten year anniversary.

The Patriot Flag will fly above the 144th Annual Cleveland Saint Patrick's Day Parade. The flag raising ceremony will be held at 10:45 am on March 17th at Superior Avenue between Ontario and East Roadway. The 30 x 57.5 foot American flag will be visible from the entire St. Patrick's Day Parade route.

The PATRIOT FLAG project is managed as a grassroots effort by citizens and public safety personnel throughout the country. In Cleveland, the Patriot Flag is sponsored jointly by the Cleveland Division of Fire and the United Irish Societies of Greater Cleveland.
