My kids are crazy about Skylanders.
They love the video game but they really love the television series which just launched season 3 on Netflix. And what's better than watching your favorite show? Sharing it with friends!
In the last season, beloved Spyro was turned evil by the villain Strykore and this season picks up right where that left off. Spyro is now an undercover agent named Dark Spyro. He is on a mission to find an ancient artifact hidden at the Skylanders Academy that will help Strykore take over the Skylands. Add Kaos into the mix and it will take all the Skylanders banding together to help Spyro remember his real self and bring peace to the realm.
We invited families over to enjoy all things Skylanders. Before watching the first new episode, the kids each picked a character and then gathered around a special portal for a game of Pin the Skylander on the Portal. This was a hoot! The dizzier they got, the more fun they had. Then, after a little video game playing, it was time to watch season 3, all while enjoying some Skyro's Dragon Food Trail Mix. Episode one was such a success, they begged for another. Then it was time for a game of bingo, with all of our favorite characters. (Though I think they liked the marshmallow game pieces the most.)
Skylanders Academy Season 3 is a hit. This Netflix series brings these fun and quirky characters to life in a whole new way which makes the entire Skylanders experience even more fun!
