Christmas Day, MLK Day and President's Day Events FREE to the Public

Free for the holidays? The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage opens its doors at no-cost this winter during special holiday events! From making cards on Christmas to celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to "meeting the presidents" on Presdents Day, there are several upcoming FREE opportunities for the community to engage with this Cleveland cultural hub. Christmas Day Can-Can, “Give What You Can, Pay What You Can”
Bring a canned good donation and/or pay what you can toward Museum admission

Celebrate the giving spirit of the holiday season! Make a donation to explore the inspiring stories in the Museum’s newest exhibition— Israel: Then & Now, see the treasures in The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery and share in the Jewish immigrant experiences that make up An American Story. The day also includes a chance to create welcome cards for new immigrants to Northeast Ohio. Canned goods will be donated to the Semach Sedek R.I.A.S. Kosher Food Bank & Pantry and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Free & open to the public
Join us for free all-day at the Maltz Museum! Honor iconic civil rights leader the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and everyday citizens who fought against discrimination by celebrating the everyday hero in all of us. Tour the Maltz Museum’s core and special exhibitions while enjoying hands-on crafts and activities on this family-friendly day!

  • 11:00am – On the One Band performs live in our Theater
  • 1:00pm – The Evelyn Wright Quartet performs live in our Theater
  • 3:00pm – Panel discussion on Race, Gender, and the Power to Vote

FRIENDS OF THE MALTZ MUSEUM’S PRESIDENTS’ DAY CELEBRATION
Free and open to the public
Celebrate Presidents' Day with a free, family-friendly day at the Museum! Participate in crafts and activities, plus explore our special exhibition, Israel: Then & Now, which features past president’s Truman (Independence facsimiles), Carter (Camp David Accords), and Clinton (Yitzhak Rabin image), and learn about the Jewish immigrant experience in our core exhibition, An American Story. Plus, kids can "Meet the Presidents" from 1 to 2pm with a special presentation in the gallery. Hear from past presidents such as George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, FDR, and more! Presented by the Friends of the Maltz Museum.
