We love LEGO movies. We love LEGO videogames. And now there's a new movie and a new videogame! We are in heaven!

Based on events from The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, alien invaders have left Bricksburg in ruins. It is now up to Emmet, Lucy and a host of heroic characters to go beyond their world and save their friends from the strange inhabitants of the Systar System. Just like in the movie, in the video game you get to battle space invaders and be a Master Builder. The LEGO friends work together to collect bricks, solve problems, look for Relics and Master Pieces.

We have only unlocked Emmett and Lucy so far but, keep playing and we will be able to unlock over 100 characters from the movies!

We were lucky enough to preview the game with friends before it hits stores this week. We threw a LEGO Movie 2 themed party and had a blast taking turns playing the 2-player game.

When the kids weren't playing the game, they were finding their inner Master Builder with LEGO bricks from Snapology of Cleveland. All-in-all, it was a great time for everyone!

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame is available for Xbox and PS4 now. It will be available for Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2019.

I was provided a copy of the video game to preview and compensation for my review. However, all opinions are strictly my own.
