Holden Forests & Gardens Summer Camps

Holden Forests & Gardens will be offering immersive, nature-focused summer camps conveniently located at the Holden Arboretum and Cleveland Botanical Garden. Led by expert staff members, our programs are designed to spark creativity and build appreciation of the natural world around us. Come hike, learn, and be engaged with the wonders of Northeast Ohio.


Cleveland Botanical Garden

Garden Connection Camps

Cleveland Botanical Garden Connection Camps teach students through play how communities thrive from diversity and balance. Kids will focus on social activities as they explore the cultural attractions of University Circle including Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and the Western Reserve Historical Society, and make memories against dazzling botanical garden backdrops.

Session 1: June 12-16 (ages 6-8), 9am – 3pm

Session 2: June 19-23 (ages 8-10), 9am – 3pm

Session 3: June 26-30 (ages 9-11), 9am – 3pm


Botanical Beginner Camps

Surrounded by stunning gardens, Botanical Beginner Campers will become more confident in using their senses to engage with the natural world and one another. Engage in relationship-building activities like puppet show story times, sensory play, and garden exploration. Options include single-day sessions, in addition to a 5-day session

Garden MicroMix Camps

Garden MicroMix Camps at Cleveland Botanical Garden are designed with families in mind, and children of all ages are welcome to attend. (Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult). All sessions include exploration stations, circle and story gatherings, cooperative games, creative expression activities and more. Attend for one day, or the whole week!

Holden Arboretum

Arboretum Action Camps

Your child is invited to experience the bounty of Ohio temperate forests through group excursions and cooperative games that will empower campers to become young advocates for plants and trees. Arboretum Action campers will enjoy opportunities like STEM-based challenges inspired by this year's traveling Nature Connects exhibition, bird banding for scientific research, primitive fishing, and harnessed tree climbing.
