Hawken Summer Programs is pleased to offer your children 11 exciting weeks of summer options. There are choices to suit every child’s interests and passions. Traditional day camp options, week-long Passport specialty camps, innovation camps, athletics camps, and summer studies provide your child the opportunity for fun, exploration, growth, and learning.
Hawken Day Camps has a long history of providing some of the best summer enrichment opportunities in Greater Cleveland. Children of all ages can choose from a broad menu of programs designed to be age-appropriate, fun, and worthwhile. No matter what program your child chooses, you can be assured that he or she will learn new skills, practice taking healthy risks, and accomplish meaningful goals while enriching their curiosity, creativity, and thinking skills.
Designed to foster imagination, curiosity, and skill development, Passport Camps offer children of all ages unique, week-long (full and half day) opportunities to explore, create, and learn. Children looking for a variety of experiences over the course of the summer can piece together a full summer of fun tailored to their interests or simply enjoy the excitement of a one-week adventure.
Hawken Innovation Camps, housed inside the new 2-story Innovation Lab on the Lyndhurst campus, offer access to a world-class design space equipped with making tools and machines. These camps allow campers of all abilities a way to build, tinker, and invent while learning valuable skills like coding, woodshop, laser cutting, and 3D design with our trained and experienced faculty mentors.
Hawken Athletics Camps offer skill-driven, sport-centered instruction for individuals seeking to improve their game. Led by Hawken coaches, they provide opportunities for young athletes to hone their skills and improve team play. Instruction is structured around individualized skill development, team-play components, situational games, and live-action play.
Hawken Summer Studies, open to students from public, parochial, and private schools, is a 6-week summer program of credit, review, preview, and enrichment classes for students entering grades 6 -12. Classes are held at our Upper School campus in Gates Mills, and offerings in are in the areas of mathematics, science, technology, English, history, writing, critical reading, rhetoric, SAT & ACT test-prep, speech and debate, academic challenge, and health studies.
