Connecting for Kids (CFK) provides resources, support and community to families in Northeast Ohio who have concerns about their child. We serve all families, including those children with and without diagnoses. Resources are available for a number of concerns including anxiety, attention and academics. Connecting for Kids supports families who have children with mental health concerns, developmental delays and disabilities as well as those facing major life changes such as divorce or kinship care. No concern is too big or too small.

Connecting for Kids offers three distinct programs: 1) Library Programs, 2) Resources Fairs and 3) The Family Resource Specialist Program. Library programs include support groups for adults, presentations by pediatric professionals and as well as hands-on programs that caregivers attend with their child. Our three spring Resource Fairs include both Eastern and Western Cuyahoga County Fairs as well as a Lorain County Resource Fair. Each of these fairs are filled with more than 70 disability and mental health providers offering therapy options, adapted camps, recreational programs and other services. The Family Resource Specialist program offers a CFK staff member who meets with families one-on-one via Zoom, phone or Facebook Messenger to discuss a parent/caregiver’s concerns about their child and assist them in navigating resources to find help. The Family Resource Specialists interact with numerous parents and caregivers per day offering up a host of different tools, including a Service Provider Directory with local professionals and podcasts on various topics. All programs and services are offered free to families.

Business Review

“The Connecting for Kids Family Resource Specialist has been so helpful in providing me with resources for my family. My son was having trouble with transitions and also was dealing with some issues at school. The Family Resource Specialist was able to find local providers and programs to help with these concerns. She also walked me through funding options and scholarships to use for summer camp. I love that I can reach out and speak with her one-on-one about any information I may need.” - Concerned Bedford Heights Mom
