Description
Join us as we honor and share the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, who was one of the most influential civil rights activists of our time. First Playhouse Square helps us travel back in time to hear about Dr. King as a young boy through an interactive reading of the book “Who Was Martin Luther King, Jr.?” written by Lisbeth Kaiser and illustrated by Stanley Chow. Then, get moving with inspiration from Dr. King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech, set to music and dance by Karamu House! Throughout the program we will explore what it means to follow our dreams and make an impact in our community and our world. A jam-packed hour, sure to inspire and entertain family members of all ages and backgrounds – don’t miss it! Registration required.
