Make your next walk a hunt for specific colors (try this any time of the year). This is an easy project that can be made very simple as your time/ materials/ patience demands.

Though we celebrate the mightiest shark of all time in the exhibit Megalodon, sharks aren't the only meat eaters around. In Ohio you can find predators above, below and all around us. Using tooth and fang, claw and talon as well as supersenses, speed, and agility, these predators relentlessly hunt down their prey. Hawks, owls, skunks, opossums, snakes, and spiders are just a few of the examples of predators you might see in this celebration of flesh eaters. So join us in an exploration of the world of predators, and the unique adaptations that allow them to persevere at the top of the food chain!

Sunday, May 26 - Family Fun Sunday's at Classic Park
Lake County Y is hosting “Family Fun Sunday’s” at Classic Park before and during every Sunday home game of the 2013 season. Family Fun begins one and a half hours in advance of game time for afternoon games and one hour ahead of evening games. During Family Fun children and their family’s can engage with the Lake County Y while growing closer together through fun activities that encourage good health. The Y will have hula-hoop contests, jump rope contests and minute-to-win-it games. Prizes will be available. Kids that complete their puzzles in the activities book will also receive a prize.
